It is almost unfathomable to imagine that in this day in age there are populations that still live under the extreme poverty line. In Guatemala, almost 80% of the population lives in poverty, while 40% of that lives with less than $1.50 (USD) per day. One of the direst statistics is that the rates of poverty are actually increasing.
Programa Valentina, which is the name of the program, has successfully incorporated hundreds of people, mostly between the ages of 16 to 24, into the workforce. The long term goal is to help train over a million Latin American people and to, at least, be capable of incorporating half of them into the workforce.

Terms & Conditions: Once you have scheduled an appointment with your conversation partner, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice or the session will be charged. Conversation partners are allowed to wait for you for up to 10 minutes from the time of your scheduled appointment. The 12-session package must be redeemed within 3 months of purchase. The 25-session package must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase. The 45-session package must be redeemed within 9 months of purchase. The 60-session package must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase. Each session is a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 25 minutes. The packages are not transferable: the person who attends the first session must attend the rest of the conversations in the package.
